Since manufacturing of FIBC is a labor intensive industry and cheap and skilled labor in large number is available in Pakistan and also polypropylene granule, basic raw material required to manufacture the FIBC is easily available around Pakistan. Therefore along with China and India the Group decided to invest also in Pakistan. In this respect we have acquired two manufacturing units both based on Austrian/German technology which are located in Gadoon Amazai N.W.F.P and Mirpur Azad Jammu and Kashmir respectively.
To manage and control both the units Storsack Group have formed a local company in Pakistan under the name of STORSACK (PVT) LIMITED under companies ordinance 1984 of Pakistan to manufacture and distribution of Flexible Intermediary Bulk Containers (FIBC) commonly known as PP Jumbo Sacks. The 60% holdings of the shares are with the Storsack Group and 40% shares are with the local partners of the above mentioned company.
The Gadoon Amazai (Unit No 1) is operating very successfully on 99% production capacity and not only exporting it’s products but also supplying the bags locally in Chemical Sector, Cement Sector, Rice Exporters, Mineral Exporters, Grain Merchants and at present gadoon unit is running on 99% capacity. Beside this Gadoon Amazai Unit have in house liner production facility which can produce 80,000 liners per month.
Very soon production will be commenced at MirPur Unit.
